Author David Erik Nelson will talk about his upcoming DIY book, which is full of projects to build games, toys and musical instruments. He will show projects featured in the books, including the $10 Electric Guitar. Many of the projects started out as projects he did with students while teaching at an alternative high school in Ann Arbor.
David Erik Nelson is a freelance writer and editor, and former high school teacher. He just finished writing "Snip, Burn, Solder, Shred: The $10 Electric Guitar and 23 More Dirt-Cheap, DIY Diversions", which wil be out this fall (http://nostarch.com/snipburn.htm). The book includes two dozen projects that result in 30+ cool games, toys, instruments, gadgets, and gizmos.
