Maker Faire Detroit 2010

Arduino powered skeeball machine

  • Demos: Foam Dart Shooting Range, DIY Skeeball, Beer Growler Organ, and more!
Make Demo Stage Saturday 1:00 PM - 1:30 PM

Who doesn't love skeeball? With help from i3Detroit I built a skeeball machine from spare lumber, plastic garden edging, pvc pipe, a bit of canvas, a few contact switches, and an arduino compatible. The focus was to build a game for people to enjoy at the i3Detroit hackerspace.

About the Maker(s)

Matthew Switlik

Originally from Monroe Michigan, I am a founding member of i3Detroit with a passion for all science and technology and implementing them to solve problems or just have fun.

Here are some of Matt's other Maker Faire projects:

Arduino powered foam dart shooting range Matthew Switlik
It's four pop-up targets that detect the impact of a foam dart. You can play a quick draw game that records the time it takes to hit 4 random targets or a "free play" mode with no score keeping. Who's the fastest draw at the maker faire?

DIY Musical Instruments Matthew Switlik
a Cigar Box Guitar, a Wine Crate Bass, and a Beer Growler Organ. Musical instruments built at the i3Detroit Hackerspace. A musically talented friend of i3Detroit, Eric Richardville and company will jam on some customer built instruments.
