Interested in physical computing? Ed Baafi shows how Modkit lets you program things in the physical world by just dragging and dropping little virtual code blocks in a web browser. With Modkit, anyone can build gadgets using motors, sensors, lights, sound, and the popular Arduino microcontroller boards.

Modkit is a new kind of graphical programming environment that makes programming things in the physical word as easy as dragging and dropping little virtual code blocks in a web browser.. Modkit enables anyone including kids, artists and inventors to build with electronic components and kits including motors, sensors, lights, sound and the popular Arduino and compatible development boards...
Ed Baafi started Modkit to build tools that enable ordinary people (students, artists, inventors, etc) to design, build, and program interactive projects without needing an engineering or computer science background just to get started.. Modkit is the result of thoughts, ideas, and insights gained through his work organizing the Boston Fab Lab and the Learn 2 Teach, Teach 2 Learn youth technology program.
