Design Thinking With Kids: Lessons Learned at Nueva’s Innovation Lab

Stage B , Sunday 12:00 PM - 12:30 PM

Come learn what The Nueva School is doing to promote Design Thinking mindsets and skills in students ages 5 to 14. You'll hear about how the 3,500 sq. ft. Innovation Lab (I-Lab) was created in partnership with the d.school at Stanford and IDEO. The Director of the I-Lab will share what Nueva students have been doing there over the past two years, and what the teachers have learned about fostering an iterative, user-centric, and collaborative approach to design projects of all kinds. Kim will also give specific suggestions of ways to create your very own I-Lab at home for your children - and even you - to use!
