Maker Faire Bay Area 2009
Bug Under Glass

Location:   Cypress

As a conservation biologist and artist, my mission is to protect, teach and display the beauty of insects. I spread, prepare and display insects into colorful and artful poses. In certain displays, insects are artistically displayed with stamps, maps, or currency of their country of origin. All of these displays are made with archival materials and built to last a lifetime and also include detailed natural history information about the specimen.

About the Maker(s)

Kevin Clarke [
As a kid, one of Kevin's favorite activities was to turn over rocks and logs in order to see what lived beneath. Today this continues to be one of his favorite things to do. The insect world mesmerizes him with its countless shapes, colors, bizarre behaviors and environmental importance.
