Maker Faire Bay Area 2009
Ghost Phones

Stage C , Saturday 5:00 PM - 5:30 PM A talk about generating ideas and working with them. Greg will share his experiences as a concept designer at Imagineering and other theme park companies.

Ghost Phones are interactive modifications of the ancient and nearly arcane dial telephone system. By hiding an MP3 player inside a telephone, you can have a one-sided conversation with a ghost from the past. Greg will share the concept behind this art project, discuss the methods and perspective for recording the dialog, and demonstrate the methods to hide the technology and make it all more mysterious.
