This Camera Obscura is a walk-in camera showing the surrounding scenery in full color and detail.

The rooftop lens projects the scenery onto a circular screen in the darkened room.

500 years ago Leonardo daVinci described the camera obscura which led to the development of photography.

I replaced the 500 lb. bearing and motor of San Francisco's Giant Camera starting in 1979, - now listed with the National Register of Historic Buildings. Designed and built: - Exhibit style camera obscura for the Los Angeles county fair's history of the cinema. - Six Camera Obscuras for the Burningman festival until 2008.
