This Camera Obscura is a walk-in camera showing the surrounding scenery in full color and detail.
The rooftop lens projects the scenery onto a circular screen in the darkened room.
500 years ago Leonardo daVinci described the camera obscura which led to the development of photography.

I worked at San Francisco's camera obscura starting in 1979 and later, replaced its bearings, timer, and mirror.
I have designed and built a few including one for the Los Angeles county fair's history of the cinema and some pyramid, cylindrical, and maze-like camera obscuras for the Burningman festival until 2008.
I helped circulate a petition to put San Francisco's Giant Camera on the National Register of Historic Buildings.
