About the Maker(s)

Peterson Neon
“I’ve been a neon tube-bender for 20 years, most of those years making commercial neon signs. My current focus is my neon art, creating illuminated sculptures and furniture by combining found objects with new and scrap neon. I bring old metal signs, acrylic panels, and discarded metal tables back to life by pairing them with neon tubing. I'm interested in the way history accrues in the found objects. At one time the signage performed a function, and had a clear meaning or purpose. I re-animate the found objects by changing their shape, often deconstructing the forms that were once alphabet.”
