Rick Walker has been on the cutting edge of many musical movements for the past 30 years. Originally one of the founding architects of the world beat movement, he is now one of the leading lights in the emerging international Live Looping Movement, touring as a solo headliner in 12 countries in the past 4 years and producing the world's largest live looping festival every year in Santa Cruz, where he lives. He combines found and invented sounds with conventional instruments and extended vocal techniques in a fascinating, unusual and theatrical performance. He also plays over 1,000 world music percussion instruments and is considered a master percussionist and trapset drummer. He endorses Looperlative, Gibson EDP and the Electrix Repeater and is a representing artist for Cycling 74 and Universal Audio.
