Maker Faire Austin 2008
Robotics at Austin Community College


We will be demonstrating a variety of robot kits as well as simple custom robots that we use in courses at Austin Community College. We will also display a software development lab (oscilloscope, laptop and PIC development boards), and a Probotix CNC mill that is under construction.

Roie Black Austin Community College
The Automation, Robotics and Controls Technology program is part of the Electronics and Advanced Technologies Department at Austin Community College. This program includes classes from the Computer Studies Department. Roie Black is a Professor of Computer Science at Austin Community College. He has over 30 years of experience in computer technologies with the USAF and private industry.
