Maker Faire Austin 2008
Oil Paintings
I paint plein-air oil paintings of plants and flowers - all growing in the ground - still living. I do not paint cut flowers or arranged bouquets. My paintings range in size from 6x8 to 48x36 with most in the small intimate range which I arrange in assemblages of several hanging on a wall in an oval group - a group of "friends" creating a garden on the wall. The oil is painted on handmade gold gesso mixed of rabbit skin glue, marble dust, and pigment.
