Space Squid: Hand-Scrubbed Sci-Fi & Humor
Space Squid is a hybrid publication of hand-scrubbed speculative fiction and humor.
Surely you've seen the 'zine at your local zine superstore? Of course you were amazed at our snarky, outrageous stories, comix, and art. Or perhaps you attended one of our slam fiction events or readings.
For Maker Faire, we'll be offering:
* on-demand story readings!
* free copies of Space Squid issue 6!
* draw us a monster and we'll publish it in the mag!
* let us turn you into a superhero and email it to you!
* improv haiku: give us some info about you and we'll immortalize you in verse!
* add a sentence to our community-written Maker Faire story!
We're based in Austin but our contributors come from all over. They include Bruce Sterling (father of cyberpunk), Chris Roberson (Clockwork Storybook), Jay Lake (John W. Campbell Award winner), Jennifer Pelland (Nebula nominee), and a lot of other cool people.
