Because electric vehicles are currently a scarce item to purchase used and are practically unavailable new, a large part of AustinEV's focus is on the conversion of gas-powered vehicles to run on electricity. For many, this activity is an end unto itself; it's a fun project that provides its own reward. The result is what we call the EV grin -- electric vehicles are just a lot of fun to drive!
