Maker Faire Bay Area 2008
Cityscape Photography
| Location: Expo Yellow |
Part photography, part event, and part sculpture, John Chiara's cityscape images are intriguing for how they are taken, as much as for their subject matter. Using hand-built apparatus and patience, Chiara becomes the camera by composing pictures from the inside of a portable, room-size camera that is mounted on a flatbed trailer. The result is large scale, one-of-a-kind, positive exposures with subtle, atmospheric presence.
