Krane with a K is an 8-foot tall sculpture equipped with four small winches as points of control, connected by rope to one hook. Four participants use the winches to try and pick up and stack five blocks which rest inside the frame. An invitation for one to test their skills.

Chris McMullen moved to Seattle from Reno, Nevada in 1999 with a background in Graphic Communication. A fascination with industrial process has led to a body of work consisting of sculpture and machine-like kinetic pieces. His work has been exhibited in California, Nevada, Texas, Oklahoma, and Washington. Chris makes a living as a designer and fabricator of custom metal work, both artistic and architectural.
