Bruce Shapiro has been playing with techno-junk (castoffs from the automation industry) since 1990. His smaller creations are used to teach kids the fundamentals of robotics in the classroom, while his larger kinetic sculptures can be found in science museums throughout the world.

Bruce Shapiro has been experimenting with motion control for about twenty years. He creates large computer-controlled, kinetic sculptures for science centers throughout the world, and has taught motion control classes. This year, he is teaming up with Brian Schmalz and his son Ben to take his first motion control device, "Eggbot," to the next level.
