Bruce Shapiro has been playing with techno-junk (castoffs from the automation industry) since 1990. His smaller creations are used to teach kids the fundamentals of robotics in the classroom, while his larger kinetic sculptures can be found in science museums throughout the world.

Bruce Shapiro [
Bruce Shapiro has been experimenting with motion control for twenty years. He creates computer-controlled, kinetic sculptures for science centers throughout the word, and has taught motion control classes in California, Minnesota, and Ireland. This year, he is again teaming up with his son Ben (a Stanford C.S. grad) and Brian Schmalz of Schmalzhaus.com (an embedded systems Engineer from Minneapolis) to take his first motion control device, "Eggbot," to the next level.
