Important Check-in details:

Your Maker # is very important for check-in. Please make sure you and your assistants have it.

Maker Check-in

Check-in is located at the Main entrance of the New York Hall of Science off 111th Street at 49th Ave.

A Temporary Unloading Permit will be available at check-in and required for Makers driving on to the grounds to unload.

Carts will be available at check-in for curbside unloading. Please unload quickly, drive to Citi Field and park and then return to set up. You will not be able to leave your car at NYSCI.

Maker Parking

Maker parking is free for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. You will be given tickets for free parking with directions to Citi Field. Public Parking is $10.00. There will be a shuttle at Citi Field to return to NYSCI. Directions directly to Parking.

If your vehicle is part of your exhibit or you have a large installation, movement on the grounds will be handled on a case by case basis.

Thursday and Friday

Set Up Hours - We encourage you to set-up on Thursday or Friday. Setting up on Saturday morning is often hectic, lines are long, and traffic will be heavy. Arrive early if you can!

Friday: Maker Evening Event - 5:00 - 8:00pm, on the grounds.

Saturday and Sunday

Unloading - You will have a limited time to unload materials on Saturday or Sunday morning. Use the entrance drive off 111th Street at 49th Ave. Your vehicle will need to be parked immediately after you unload. Please plan accordingly.

On Saturday or Sunday morning, vehicles will not be allowed to drive onto the grounds (beyond the parking lot) after 9:00 a.m. All vehicles must be off the grounds by 9:45 a.m. for Maker Faire to open. Please give yourself enough time to park your car and get back to your exhibit space.

Sunday, Sept 18: 8:00 a.m. - 9:30 a.m

Show Hours (open to the public)

Maker Faire starts promptly at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Please keep traffic in mind and plan to arrive with enough time to prep your exhibit once you arrive onsite. Give yourself an extra hour; traffic will be heavy!

Subway

Flushing-bound subways skip 33, 40, 46, 52 and 69 Streets on Saturday and Sunday. Take the subway to 111 Street, and walk south. You will find Maker Check-in stationed outside the main entrance to the NY Hall of Science, follow the horseshoe driveway to the check-in station.

Late or No Show

If you will be late or you are not able to exhibit at Maker Faire, please contact the Show Office immediately at 415-720-5655.

If your exhibit is not set up by 10:00 a.m. on Saturday and you have not notified us in advance, we will reallocate your space to other Makers.

Please note that many logistical questions/issues can be resolved onsite when you arrive for set-up. We appreciate your patience and understanding, and assure you that we will do our best to assist in .making. your exhibit space work!
