The B9Creator is an open source hardware/software high resolution 3D Printer. The B9Creator combines innovative methods with off the shelf DLP technology to produce parts that compare with machines costing thousands more. A wide range of photo-polymer based resins can be used to obtain the material properties desired. From resins that are suitable for lost wax casting applications to very reactive "fast grow" resins for quick proto-typing. No other machine comes close to offering the flexibility and low entry cost. Launched in early spring of 2012, the B9Creator has been delivered and is in use by hundreds of satisfied users already and enjoys the largest resin based printer user community anywhere. Don't wait any longer, get printing "hi-res" today!
It's time for consumer manufacturing to speed up to meet consumer needs. Beyond rapid prototyping, 3D printing will allow product cycles to speed up, which will lead to better, more innovative products. Designers can be more responsive to consumer feedback, bringing us to a new era of responsive product design. 3D printing allows anyone to map an idea from concept to production more quickly than before and with direct feedback from consumers
New design startup bhold will illustrate with prototypes, demos & showcase of final products.
Hear the story of Bigshot, a DIY digital camera kit, that was developed at Columbia University and is now a commercial product. Inventor Shree Nayar will review the motivation behind the camera, the design process and the online educational experience.
I have a device that is made to keep from people biting their tongue while sleeping. This device is made of soft durable plastic, although i designed the first layout of clay. It can be packaged in different colors and sizes and can come in packages of 1 or more for the entire family or for those that have a problem biting their tongue or grinding their teeth at night while sleeping. It can be sold in dentist office or stores worldwide.
New understanding of the brain is making it more hackable, launching us into the realm of sci-fi possibilities. We will talk about the brain's pinouts and wiring, along with its mechanisms for change (i.e. learning). We will then discuss various technologies and techniques currently being used to interface with the brain and augment human potential in amazing ways.
A Milwaukee startup focusing on Solar USB Power. We ran a wildly successful Kickstart for our Folding USB Solar Cells. At our booth we'll be showing off our solar USB charging solutions and setups. We believe that our solar cells are the perfect item for campers, hikers, and emergency preparedness.
Taming power consumption of billion of connected devices in the near future will be key. In this presentation we will dig into the low level optimization of an Arduino - you will learn about the tools to do so. Alternate power sources like coin cell and super caps will be used and a wireless communication to your favored smartphone based on Bluetooth(TM) SMART established. Projects like fitness tracker, plant monitoring sensors and most of your fantastic ideas becoming possible - easily. The used PCB design will be made available under OHW.
Fourth and fifth grade students at PS 107 have built scooters from scratch and designed devices to capture and harness the scooters' energy when they are ridden. Come to our presentation and we will share our designs with you.
Did somebody send you a blank greeting card? No! - it's a Carte Blanche. Grab your computer, turn off the lights, and hold the card to your screen to decode the secret message. This glowing card is reusable, send it back with
Product designers increasingly contribute their work to remix communities, communities in which designs are shared, modified, combined and implemented. Our study focuses on a community called Thingiverse, in which designers share files that can be used to create 3D printed objects. Our analysis suggests that analysis of remix network structure may provide ways of tracing innovation processes and detecting the emergence of new ideas, combination of disparate ideas. As a result, it may be possible to encourage innovation by guiding interested inventors toward potential pairs of structurally separated and conceptually diverse ideas.
Flynn's Cooperative Phonograph uses forgotten 19th century audio tech in a sculpted experience cooperative that fosters a sense of community in public spaces.
The Hewitt School is a K-12 girls school. Our computer science classes emphasize meaningful applications of programming and robotics. Students use GoGo Boards and Arduinos to solve compelling problems that they care about.
Deezmaker manufactures the popular and robust Bukobot 3D Printer and Bukito Portable 3D Printer starting at $699. We pride ourselves in making quality products. We were the first walk-in retail 3D printer store and hackerspace on the west coast providing 3D printers, 3D printing services, classes and 3D printing supplies to the Los Angeles area.
Deltaprintr is a new affordable 3D Printer that uses lasercut parts and a new approach to lower costs of 3D Printers by getting rid of belts in place of a fishing line, which makes it far more accurate as well.
