21st Century Robot: Meet Jimmy, the robot you can make at home

Intel Futurist Brian David Johnson presents Jimmy the robot. Jimmy was born in science fiction, but he's open source, he's 3D printable, and he's made to interact with humans. What's more, he'll be walking and talking by this November.

AeroQuad – The open source multicopter project!

The AeroQuad is an open source quadcopter/multicopter project which provides freely available software and hardware designs, with a friendly and helpful online community since 2009. Turn your Arduino into a flying quacopter!

An Open Source Autonomous Self Driving DIY Toy Car

This is a low cost Open Source DIY Autonomous Car Kit. It can be assembled into a fully functional Arduino controlled autonomous car complete with sensors and lights. It can also work in the RC and Hybrid Modes.

Arduino is an open-source electronics prototyping platform based on flexible, easy-to-use hardware and software. It's intended for artists, designers, hobbyists and anyone interested in creating interactive objects.

Arduino Cookbook

Arduino lets you build things that interact with the physical world. With the Arduino Cookbook, you can dive right in. Join the author in the Maker Shed to see some projects from the book, and chat with him and other Arduino

Autodesk 123D is free software integrated with content and fabrication services. At Maker Faire NY Autodesk will be hosting a hands on makerspace where participants can have hands on experiences with our free apps and 3d printers. We also will be hosting an educational hack-a-thon where educators will be answering the question ""How do you use a 3D printer in your classroom?

The B9Creator is an open source hardware/software high resolution 3D Printer. The B9Creator combines innovative methods with off the shelf DLP technology to produce parts that compare with machines costing thousands more. A wide range of photo-polymer based resins can be used to obtain the material properties desired. From resins that are suitable for lost wax casting applications to very reactive "fast grow" resins for quick proto-typing. No other machine comes close to offering the flexibility and low entry cost. Launched in early spring of 2012, the B9Creator has been delivered and is in use by hundreds of satisfied users already and enjoys the largest resin based printer user community anywhere. Don't wait any longer, get printing "hi-res" today!

Baltimore Burners Go Karts

"Liability Risk" and the "BaHa buggy" are two $500 go karts built from modified Power Wheels chassis. These karts were built with help from Baltimore Hackerspace, a 501c(3) hackerspace based out of Rosedale MD.

BBot! The BeagleBone + FPGA remote control robot!

BBot! An open source, remote controlled, drink serving robot that features great examples of how to: interface hardware to a BeagleBone Black, use an FPGA cape, make a .NET GUI that links to the bot via XBee's and more!

Scared of Surface Mount Components? At Maker Faire, Beta LAYOUT will be taking the fear out of SMD assembly for hobbyists and small batch electronics. At our workshop, you will assemble and reflow a PCB to make a flashing badge. Our workstation is easy, safe and can make your workbench into a professional assembly line.

Beta LAYOUT has been servicing hobbyists, designers and students for over 20 years with PCBs and other components for electronic designers. By combining our many orders we have cut costs, eliminated tooling and shared the savings with designers globally. Prototypes made easy, as our 30,000 customers might say.

BlueStamp Engineering High School Program

The BlueStamp Engineering: Where Students Create! rnEach student finds their own individual project builds it over 6 weeks with supporting videos and documentation under the supervision of experienced makers.

Bold Colors for the 3D Printing Experience

We are bringing color to the 3D printing experience. Color-morphing plastic responds to heat; Decapede electronics drive up to 10 extruders; and bold casing colors could broaden the appeal of having a 3D printer in your home

BramsonORT: study electronics, computers, robotics

BramsonORT welcomes high school students to come and visit to see our technical students and meet our faculty

Brooklyn Robot Foundry

Come build robots with us! We offer weekend classes, after school programs, summer sessions, open play and birthday parties. We also have a retail shop that specializes in cool engineering toys, games and gear.
