Gary Stager

Dr. Gary Stager is an internationally respected speaker, writer and award-winning teacher educator. He has been a leading advocate for classroom making for 31 years and led professional development in the world's first laptop schools. He is a popular speaker at leading conferences across the globe, including Maker Faire, the founder of the Constructing Modern Knowledge institute and Executive Director of the Constructivist Consortium. Dr. Stager worked closely with Seymour Papert for more than two decades and his doctoral research was based on work with Papert in creating a high-tech alternative learning environment for incarcerated at-risk learners. His many awards include California CUE's Technology in Learning Leadership Award and participation in a project that won a 2007 Grammy Award. Gary has presented at World Maker Faire, the 2012 San Mateo Maker Faire & Educator Day
