A talk about some of my most recent work in Africa. An introduction to some of my past and current projects and an open discussion on the lessons learned and the hurdles met in building projects and businesses focused on designing for real humanitarian, environmental and social challenges worldwide. These projects have been tested and deployed in developing countries but could very well apply here at home. Some projects were really successful and some encountered huge obstacles making this field tough but also extremely rewarding. There are lots of makers interested in devoting their skills to these causes and this talk is to encourage them.
