Doane Academy's beloved mascot Sparty likes to go fast. So, the school's Spartan STEAM Club decided what better way to help him go fast than to participate in this year's Power Racing Series.
What inspired you to make this project?:
Past visits to Maker Faire NYC showed us the Power Racing Series. Over the years, our STEAM Club has had individual members build vehicles to showcase at our annual STEAM Fair. In 2016, we held an intramural race of our 3 power racers. This year we've finally decided to step up to the next level and participate in the Power Racing Series circuit.
