What inspired you to make this project?:
We are firm believers in the concept of the value of making things - things with your hands and your mind. The value that anyone can be a maker provided the proper tools and mentoring. The value that Making can benefit Manufacturing & Industry - that the power of collaboration can truly stimulate innovation. That getting people inspired not only about the concepts of STEAM, but *wanting* to be in those career fields - and those career fields of making things have an intrinsic worth and value and personal satisfaction to them. Additionally - when you take a traditional trade or business type - and bring in innovative ideas, materials from completely different or non-traditional uses, and cutting edge methods - you end up with something new - and properly guided can be sustainable, affordable, resilient, and just-as-or-even-more appropriate for the end product of it being a livable and useable built space for us to occupy!
