Computer History Museum

The Computer History Museum is the world’s leading institution exploring the history of computing and its ongoing impact on society.

What inspired you to make this project?:
As a Museum and Educational Institution, we strive to engage diverse visitors of all ages to make personal connections to the history of computing and to build an increased understanding of technology’s ongoing role in shaping our world. Our programs, activities and exhibitions are created to help all people to reflect on their own personal experiences and prior knowledge as they explore the relevance and impact of the stories and artifacts of computer history, and make meaningful connections to present day and future innovations. Our hands-on learning experiences developed for Maker Faire will prompt visitors to consider technology-based solutions to a variety of problems, and guide them through the iterative engineering design process to design and build their own prototypes. In addition visitors will consider how learning from history can help to inform problem-solving and design today!
