Awesome.Tech : Advanced Arduino projects
Maker Faire Bay Area 2017
Awesome.Tech brings advanced open source projects to makers: a Personal Particle Accelerator as the ultimate science project (Blue ribbon winner at the Makerfaire!), and a new drop in laser controller bringing affordable precision to home laser cutte
What inspired you to make this project?:
Dan's daughter Josephine (12 y.o. at the time) ambitiously sought to make a (LHC) particle accelerator as a school project. We worked on it for six months, and succeeded with outstanding feedback. Now, after several years of refinement, we have a maker friendly DIY kit so everyone can enjoy the fun.
Paul used his passion for fabrication to design a superior open source laser controller for cutting and etching, doing away with the frustrations and limitations of poorly designed proprietary controller that came with his cheap laser cutter.
