Chris is a product designer and educator who has worked on everything from concept cars, electric vehicles, exhibit design, wearable computers and toys. His goal is to give today's kids the opportunity to learn how things work and make working robot.
Anne Mayoral
Anne is a rocket scientist turned product designer. She believes that exploration and experimentation are the building blocks for creativity and innovation. Her goal is to inspire kids and encourage girls to get their hands dirty!
CritterBots is a workshop that allows kids to build a paper circuit vibrobot. Using tiny motors, copper tape, and craft materials, young roboteers can build a one-of-a-kind critter! We provide the platform, you provide the creativity.
What inspired you to make this project?:
We really want kids to learn to build, hack and create. SpinBots evolved from an after school program for creating useless inventions from salvaged and surplus components, usually from dissected gadgets. This is usually the first time they have ever built anything themselves and we want to give them a positive, empowering experience.
