Jim Cannaliato is a software engineer, photographer, and all around geek. He has always loved to make things, from radio stations to robotics. Now, he is making interesting and unique clocks out of compact discs.
Novel Clocks are clocks made from compact discs. There's a personalized clock made from a picture you provide for the clock face, a clock that lights up using an LED halo ring, and a clock that tells time using multi-colored leds.
What inspired you to make this project?:
I have always kept old CDs thinking I would find a use for them. One day I had the idea of making a CD clock with neopixels, and started on that project. I soon created other clocks as well, including a simple clock from a label, and a lighted clock using electroluminescent wire.
