World Maker Faire 2016
Come and extract DNA from fruit, fold your own DNA origami and blow up B'loonies while learning about synthetic biology and genetic engineering from the Stanford-Brown 2016 iGEM team.
What inspired you to make this project?:
We are inspired by the ability of synthetic biology to enhance what living things are able to produce. Working on our iGEM project this summer showed us how we could design new genetic constructs to create bacteria capable of producing brightly colored proteins or useful construction materials like elastin. Maker Faire is our opportunity to get people excited about synthetic biology and its potential to improve our lives.
