My day job is a lean expert for a large American manufacturing company. I work with people to figure out how a company can be more efficient and produce products with better quality. Lean manufacturing and lean thinking in general is my passion.
Maker Pipe is a simple, affordable, easy-to use system of connectors that pairs with inexpensive electrical conduit you can find at any hardware store.
The result is a building platform with endless possibilities!
What inspired you to make this project?:
Working in the manufacturing industry I have worked with pipe connector systems but they are extremely expensive, limiting and not available to the everyday consumer to build with. I wanted to come up with a connector system that was quick, easy, cheap and accessible to anyone. One of the main reasons some of the existing connector systems are not readily available is due to the pipe required. Maker Pipe is specifically designed to work with ordinary 3/4" EMT conduit that can be picked up at your local hardware store.
