The Harlem Art Collective
We are a socially conscious and artistically active group of artists that organize public art projects and art workshops in East Harlem to inspire, educate, empower, and unite our community. We are self funded and autonomous, this is a labor of love.
We will be painting an interactive, technology-themed mural, inviting passersby to participate in the mural making process and conducting spray paint and mural painting workshops.
What inspired you to make this project?:
As a collective we have been doing interactive public art projects for almost 2 years and we enjoy teaching and sharing our skills as artists with the community. We believe that art is therapeutic, and a powerful way to unite people and share messages and information.
