Len's debut to maker world was Xronos Clock (talking Arduino based alarm smart clock). In his spare time he builds gadgets and home automation devices. He loves hiking, biking and traveling around the world.
Taking cool but obsolete technologies and hacking it into a functional pieces of art.
One of several is Flipster: a unique giant clock/message board made from 20+year old electromagentic flip-dot display that used to be a destination sign on the bus
What inspired you to make this project?:
I was inspired when I first learned about flip-dot displays. Their electro-mechanical nature is something that some of us miss in the world of buttonless touch displays....
