What inspired you to make this project?:
Since the beginning of the 20th century, humans have yearned for machines that could help us in our everyday chores, such as preparing meals, cleaning the house, and watching the kids. By providing a research-grade mobile manipulator platform that is low cost, robust, easy-to-use, and large enough to do a variety of human-size tasks, we allow a large number of students, educators, hobbyists and artists from around the world to enter the robotics research ecosystem, accelerating the speed at which intelligent human-size helper robots become a reality.
