Kinetic Steam Works, a Bay Area 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to steam powered kinetic art, came together in 2005 to explore and repurpose the artifacts of clockwork modernity. Steam Power - Kinetic Art - Industrial Art - Education.

Live steam and 163-year old technology combine to whirl gleaming blades of aluminum through the air. KSW's shop-made lineshaft has evolved into an airship! Try your hand at the helm!
