Robot Resurrection

Robot Resurrection

Robot Resurrection is a towering 28 foot tall, human piloted, articulating sculpture made from 95% airplane parts. The arms and head articulate like you would expect of a giant Robot and with lighting and laser effects too!

What inspired you to make this project?:
Robot Resurrection is a representation of we all have become… Robots. It is a wake up call of how large these problems are. Everyday we do the same thing over and over, we have been controlled for too long. Robot Resurrection was born from what we as a society have discarded. My hope is that this 30’ Robot will inspire reflection upon one’s self and be a reminder of the power we all hold. I hope it awakens some awareness of our situation and encourages some small change on a small scale that leads to big change in the massive system.

We live in a disposable world.
We live in the shadows of corporations and government control.
We live on a planet with polluted oceans, and toxic air.
We consume everything around us.
We are slowly becoming obsolete in the workforce, being replaced by automation.
We ignore the fact half of the humans on the planet starve to death everyday.
We are a generation plugged into cell phones and social media forgetting the face to face interactions.
We accept our food to be poisonous and genetically engineered.
We are allowing our fresh water supplies to be polluted by fracking and industrial waste.
Why?
Why do we allow ourselves to live in such a destructive manner.
Why do we continually feed this system?
WHY ARE WE ALL ROBOTS?
We as humanity need to start understanding what is real and put an end to this control.
The world can no longer focus strictly on profit and consumption.
The time has come to focus on protecting what we have, and repairing what we have damaged.
We as individuals hold the power for this change.
We need to stand as individuals and separate ourselves from this system and make change in our own lives.
We need to come together and create our own system.
