Shovelman Isaac Frankle
I play a guitar that's made out of an antique SHOVEL. (Dig it!) I loop, drum on the shovel body, play the strings with a slide, and sing through a bullhorn. (Folktronica!) My friend and I worked together to build it and make it sing. I even played it for my friends' wedding aboard the Neverwas Haul (Victorian spaceship) at Maker Faire last year!

Steampunk Airmail Letter Project
The StClair Aeronauts dress in what we imagine a Royal Zepplin Airmail Crew of 1883 would look like. At our table, we have parchment paper, envelope patterns, stamps, pen and ink, and glue. People can come to the table and write letters to their friends. My crew then delivers these letters.

Hennepin Crawler
Four very BIG wheels and four riders pedal a handmade kinetic conveyance of whimsy known as the "Hennepin Crawler" by Krank-Boom-Clank. The Crawler represents a melding of alternative transportation innovation, human-powered kinetic sculpture, recycling functional garbage, and a prankster's notion of inflicting bewildering beauty upon an unsuspecting public.

We will bring examples of the items we make and will be on hand to discuss Steampunk artwork and hand crafting with any and all who are interested.

Carnivale Mechanique: Theriaca Fina Emily Beighley
