I made a 3d printed derivative of the DARwIn-OP which is an acronym for Dynamic Anthropomorphic Robot with Intelligence - Open Platform or DARwIn for short.


Kinect 3D Scanner

I have created a 3d scanner that utilizes a Microsoft Kinect. Professional 3D scanners are very expensive and I am hoping that the whole system will cost less than $150. This project uses free software and simple components.


LEGO Microscopes

Come learn how to build a microscope using LEGO bricks! The LEGO microscope is designed to teach optics at the middle and high school level and uses 3D printed parts to hold lenses in place and a cameraphone to display images


Libby Falck: Media artist, Filmmaker, and Educator

Presenter

Libby Falck is director of the City X Project workshop and installation that teaches kids that the world doesn't just exist as it is, but that they can have an impact on the world around them. Using 3D modeling, printing and an intro to the design process kids model solutions for the 32 characters who live in "City X," the first city to be build on Mars. Libby is an interactive media artist, filmmaker, and educator based in San Francisco.
