The LED Artist creates beautiful objects with LEDs and electronics.nHe's projects include a microcontroller controlled array of LEDs orchestrating animations, to a simple LED nightlight.



Life-Size Mousetrap

Exhibit

The Life Size Mousetrap is a fantastically hand crafted, 16 piece, 50,000-lb. interactive kinetic sculpture set atop a 6,500-square-foot game board. This giant Rube Goldberg style contraption comes complete with a Vaudevillian style show, original Musical score by the one woman band Esmerelda Strange, Sexy Mice can-can dancers, clown workers, acrobatic hi jinks, and other spectacular scenes dedicated to the pursuit of spectacle-laden fun!


Lighthouse Community Charter School Makers

LCCS is featuring a group of high school students who have created their own projects to display at the Faire. We are working to bring making and the maker mindset to all of our students from K to 12 in Oakland, CA

High school students from our pilot group of 15 Makerspace schools will be exhibiting their final projects. Projects may include converted go-karts, knitted skirts, bicycle-wheel basketball hoops, and stained glass!

In early February, artist Mauro Ffortissimo brought a grand piano to the beach in Half Moon Bay and for two weeks he played at sunset to growing crowds. The project was called Sunset Piano. When the piano had to be removed, he destroyed it ceremoniously in flames. Here are its charred remains.
