This and the usual scattering of morbid props, plus free makeup demonstrations for those brave enough to sit in our chair.

This putty, once formed around a set of standard ear buds, works much like expensive in-ear monitors like professional musicians use. This enhances comfort and fit. Future Craft Collective
We at the Future Craft Collective are striving to shift a paradigm for kids by teaching them the beauty of not just making it themselves, but making it with what's around them, thereby creating their own unique style. One way that avoids the "aw, mom" reaction that often accompanies a good old fashioned lecture on downstream impact is getting kids out of the "buy a kit at hobby lobby and assemble" mode and back into the "scrape, scrounge, dig, build, create" mode that comes with salvaging and upcycling. The fact that it's environmentally friendly can be almost secondary to the sheer creative challenge of dissecting your raw materials and deconstructing the stuff around you that otherwise might head to the landfill. Plus it's fun and it looks good.

Garden of Flowers
The project is creating a choker necklace with a garden of different types of flower beads & brass leaves. This project is used for creating beauty around the neck with a different look than your everyday necklace.

Knitted Guitars and Crochet Jewelry
Rock and roll all night and knit every day! Making knitted guitars honors two of my passions, knitting and music, and challenges the disparity between "craft" and "art." Knitted guitars can take a long time to create, but crochet jewelry can go pretty fast. I'll show you how.

Knitted socks in two hours!
Circular sock machines have been around since the early 1900's and were built so sturdily that they still survive and work to this day. The machines were originally advertised as a way for homemakers to make money at home by cranking out socks, but the learning curve was really high. Currently, there are a number of enthusiasts around the globe who help each other figure out how to use these really nifty antique machines.

Knotty bags
I crochet strips of recycled plastic bags into multifunctional and reusable shopping bags. These bags have just the right amount of stretch to carry what you need, but also are sturdy enough to withstand cans and bottles and 6-packs, oh my!

Origami Dress
This dress is made out of pieces of origami originally made to construct a box! This dress was intended to reflect my absolute love for recycled fashion. I looked at an origami cube I made in sixth grade and said hey, I could use this. I used comic magazine and urban outfitters magazines. The bottom part was made to portray the fact that the pieces were built for boxes. The top part seems plain to me at the moment, but I intend to attach intricate origami animals, planes, etc. It is not finished, but I am confident and dedicating my time to it. I would absolutely love to show at maker faire. I hope everyone is excited as I am!

Recycled Reversible Gift Pouches
It's fun and easy to make attractive gift packaging that can be used over and over again instead of ending up in a landfill after only one use. Robot-themed Bags and Serging Demo and Tutorial
I have been sewing since I was nine. After the birth of my son I started a sewing business and bought a used serger. I quickly found out that there is a serging mafia out there that closely guards how to thread these things. My proposal is to teach fear-free serger threading to anyone willing to sit down with me. I was a Maker last year and won an award for my serging threading demo onstage presentation. This year, my husband, Scott Hudson, will be presenting his GALA Dolly project with The Robot Group, and I will be assisting him as part of his team. However, I would love to provide serger tutoring again. Since I am participating as a member of The Robot Group, I will be making Robot-themed Freebie Bags as part of my demo.

Top me off!
Millinery is the lost art of hat making. Rumor is all the hatters went mad, but I never listen to what the voices say. Specializing in pillbox and top hats, many hours of handwork are put in to each one. Buckram, leather, and wool is patterned, sculpted, wired, lined with fabric, and plopped on your head. Most are frivolously unnecessary which makes them all the more fantastic.
