Buncombe Buckles Metalworks
Buncombe Buckles are one of a kind buckles for your belt (earrings, pins, and money clips too!) made from recycled metal parts. I carefully collect almost all of my parts from scrap yards, thrift stores, and antique shops and then piece them into small wearable sculptures in my backyard metal shop.

the amazing hancock brothers
We'll bring out our electric printing press and print our woodcut blocks and cut on site and just make a bunch of pictures. people can bring t shirts and we can print on them for a nominal cost, we might print on fabric so people can make patches or whatever. we sell stuff if people want to buy it, its all about the democratization of art, through printmaking of course

Space Pod v1.0 and v2.0
The Space Pod design is a totally ergonomic space age concept for computer interface seating. I wanted to design and build something that escapes the more traditional desk and chair use concepts.
As you sit in the Space Pod, it resembles a flight or driving simulator in appearance. The seat is user adjustable in 3 dimensions, and the keyboard and mouse are on 3D floating arm devices to make for the most adjustable and comfortable computer usage seating in existence. The Space Pod also boasts a custom sound system, lighting system, and cooling system which are all intelligently controlled.
The Space Pod is designed for people wishing to have a professional workstation that can provide long hours of complete comfort and minimal fatigue. Professionals that would like a Space Pod workstation include graphic designers, web developers, writers, or really any computer job.
Gamers love the Space Pod because it's the gamer's dream! Driving simulators, and flight simulators come alive when you add the proper steering controls. All games come alive in the Space Pod with complete immersion effects.

BLUESQUEEZEBOX
"BLUESQUEEZEBOX... plays an eclectic mix of material from some of the greatest songwriters in history... You may recognize some or all of the songs you hear them play... gritty, world-weary vocals, Texas-style guitar heroics and slinky seven-string bass, all taken to the next level of madness by the driving undercurrent of their namesake instrument."

Flexible LED Shirt
I have made a 5-foot-long 2" wide flexible LED sign that wraps around a T-shirt. The LED array is 8x250 which is 2,000 LEDs and controlled with a Atmel ATMEGA168. The LED array will display just about anything from scrolling words to animation.

Blacksmithing
Last year I did tool forging demos, showing traditional hand working techniques to make tongs. This year I am teaming up with 5 other smiths to demonstrate an array of hand forging and machine forging practices. We will be working on a unified sculptural project that will integrate group forging practices, or striking, with individual work. The process will also involve some sheet metal forming techniques (repoussage). We will use both a traditional coal forge and modern propane forges as heat sources. Stop in throughout the faire to watch the piece come to life.

Robotic Drum Set
HyperLumaMidiMagnaTronic Drum Set - A robotic drum set comes to life with surprising power, speed and light, providing a driving rhythm for the ArcAttack! singing Tesla Coils.
A PIC microcontroller decodes a MIDI stream and produces Pulse-Width-Modulated signals based on the velocity messages. Pulse-width-modulation provides precise velocity control driving Electro-magnetic rotary actuators with high power MOSFET transistors. The rotary actuators simplify the mechanics, improve reliability and reduce unwanted noise. LED arrays provide colorful, synchronized lighting effects.
